EHS Model

“Reducing overall health disparities by establishing clinics in as many communities across the United States through the development of diverse community center partnerships.”

EHS strives to be a patient-centered organization, providing a continuous source of high quality, comprehensive, and affordable medical care to uninsured and under-insured individuals throughout communities most in need. We have developed an environment in our clinics where our patient is the center focus. We aim to provide exceptional medical care, as well as create a comfortable, open, and friendly environment for our patients.

Each EHS clinic is community-owned and supported, providing many benefits to its members:

								- EHS offers a wide range of primary and preventive health services to families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- We help uninsured individuals overcome barriers related to language, transportation, and cultural differences. EHS exists to help patients overcome these barriers, by having a diverse, multilingual staff, which understands and is sensitive to the needs of each patient.
- EHS allows for a unique relationship to be built throughout the community, as volunteers, both medical and non-medical are able to support their neighbors in a nurturing environment.
- We reduce unnecessary emergency room visits
To establish a clinic under the EHS organization, a local community is required to:

								- Staff clinics with medical and non-medical volunteers
- Adopt the EHS mission and vision
- Provide quality primary health care services free of charge
- Incorporate the EHS name into their clinic name
- Sign an affiliation agreement with EHS, agreeing to the organizations terms and conditions
- Be able to solely fund and sustain the clinic
